These lightweight and high-strength torque wrenches can replace conventional pipe wrenches. When pipe wrenches are used for construction of threaded pipes, the tightening torque depends on the senses of the construction workers. Insufficient torque may occur due to the age of the construction workers or lack of skills, resulting in a gas leak. The newly developed torque wrenches enable any construction worker to perform tightening at an appropriate torque without depending on their senses.
