“LUNASOLA” Super-large-scale Remote Monitoring and Control System to Control Stable Supply from High-pressure Pipeline to Low-pressure Pipeline

Overview

The central monitoring and control system for the gas supply network (system name: LUNASOLA) is designed to ensure monitoring and control of the gas supply network 24/7 across the Kinki region.This system achieves remote monitoring and control of gas distribution equipment, such as governor stations and gas holders, to ensure safe and stable supply of city gas to customers.

Features

• We monitor the status of city gas supply across the Kinki region in real time 24/7, and adjust the pressure of governor stations and control operation of gas holders.
• In the event of a disaster, we collect information from seismometers and gas distribution facilities and stop gas distribution to prevent a secondary disaster.
• The system is characterized by high reliability, which is achieved by duplication of main devices, such as servers, and communication through the private radio network.

Note

The conventional system was updated in FY2009 to ensure integrated monitoring from our high-pressure pipeline to medium-pressure B governor stations. The new system is currently in operation.
